Enrolment Visits
ENROLMENT VISITS
Parents are encouraged to make an appointment through the
School Office to meet with the Principal before your child commences school.
Senior staff and class teachers like to meet prospective new students and their parents when they arrive to enrol.
Starting a new school is a really important event and we are keen to help children adjust happily and easily to their school experiences.
It is necessary for us to view your child’s birth certificate at enrolment time.
If your child is joining us as a five year old, it is helpful if they:
- Know their own name, address and phone number well enough to repeat it when necessary
- Know the safest way to and from school.
- Can put away toys and materials after use.
- Know how to use a handkerchief and always has one.
- Can undress and dress themselves without assistance.
- Know how to put on their shoes and do them up.
- Know how to flush a toilet after use and to wash their hands.
- Can recognise their own name in printed form.
- Know colours by name.
If your child has any difficulties that we need to know about, please speak with us so that we are aware of the problem.
Request an Enrolment Pack to be posted to you
